Eco-Friendly Town – Greensburg Kansas Trailer 1

In the aftermath of the may 4th 2007 F5 tornado that destroyed 95% of the town, claiming 9 lives, the town of Greensburg Kansas began to rebuild. With the help of BNIM, a Kansas City-based architecture group with an emphasis in sustainable construction, Greensburg began an ambitious program to rebuild the entire town to be environmentally sustainable. But that isn’t the interesting part to us. What Troy and I (Phil) found most interesting was that a team of 22 architecture students from The University of Kansas had gone down to Greensburg and designed and build an environmentally sustainable art/community center. It was the first public building to go up in the town and was not only a testament to their hard work and skill, but also to the town’s commitment to rebuild itself not only better than before, but better than any other city in America. @saureco Ah, I didn’t mean to hurt the feelings of any of you California libtard pot smokers, You do know half your population works for the Gov don’t you? THat large economy is unsustainable. You people have this attitude that makes the other 49 states not worry too much about the chance of you sliding into the Pacific. I think we should give you back to Mexico, or did we????

  2. saureco says:

@walterbeech You’re referring to the 8th largest economy in the world and largest in the US, right? The very same market that spawned YouTube and Google, the very tools you’re using to slander that state? Ironic. Where does Kansas’ economy rank? Oh, that’s right – 32nd in the US, not the world.

Get off your high horse and get to work, cowboy. CA, aka “hippie land”, can buy you out 32 times over.

  3. @walterbeech No problem. Just remember. Loud death metal (like the band slayer) and poking them with a stick are the correct methods for hippie removal…

@TheBestTroller Thank you! Your 100% right, they are like an invading army here….

  5. @walterbeech Oh my fellow Midwestern brother I feel sorry for you. Be careful and alert with the hippies. They have a way of making you feel guilty for doing whats right and they’ll want you to share everything with them and when you dont they’ll try to make you feel guilty… Poking them with a stick while playing very loud music of slayer seems to be the right method of making them leave… Many may laugh at this now… But few will escape the disastrous cancer the hippies spread

Greensburg was named after a man named Green who was a pistol totting whiskey drinking stagecoach driver. I resent all these outsiders who are flocking to Kansas for “Green”. We didn’t used to have all these tree hugging hippies before. God gave us coal to use and it will still be here long after the “coolness” of being green is gone! The whole notion of Green started in California just like everything else bad and spreads like cancer.

  8. Seems like another documentary.
